Read on to find out what\nyou can expect before, during, and after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wyliefamilydentistry.com\/request-an-appointment.html\">your next\nappointment<\/a> with your Wylie dentist. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Making Your Appointment <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Your Wylie dental team is working tirelessly to safeguard\nyour health before you even arrive to the practice. At the start of every day,\neach team member completes a quick health questionnaire and no-touch\ntemperature check. When you call to make your appointment, you may notice that\nyou\u2019re offered fewer options than before. This is due to sequenced patient\nscheduling, which allows more time for coming, going, and cleaning between\npatients. While this precaution may be a little inconvenient, it goes a long\nway in keeping the entire practice healthy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Before Your Appointment <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>When you arrive for your appointment, you\u2019ll notice the\nchanges to the reception area right away. Magazines, toys, and several chairs\nhave been removed while helpful signs and one-way traffic areas have been established.\nThis limits the number of frequently touched surfaces as well as your exposure\nto other patients. You may also hear the low hum of new HEPA air filters, which\nhave been added to the HVAC system to keep the air clean. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">During Your Appointment <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Before your treatment begins, your dentist will likely ask\nyou to rinse your mouth out with the provided antimicrobial rinse. While it has\nnot been tested against COVID-19, it will reduce any harmful oral bacteria.\nYour dental team may also look slightly different than the last time you saw\nthem as well. To keep themselves safe and prevent the spread of germs, they\nhave added several pieces of personal protective equipment to their working\nwardrobe. In addition to the gloves and goggles you\u2019ve seen them wear\npreviously, they may be wearing N95 and ASTM level 3 masks, face shields, and\ndisposable coats. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">After Your Appointment <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In the past, you may have had your dental work completed over\nseveral appointments. However, you can now expect to schedule an expanded\nappointment, which will allow your dentist to accomplish more in a single visit.\nThis will limit how many times you need to leave your house to visit the\noffice.
